We are facing an epidemic of pornography online of which the repercussions are still not fully understood. In Phone Free Sex is frightening. With the click of a mouse, anyone, at any age, anytime can view porn online.

Governments are still tangled up by the “it’s a free-speech issue” argument. The porn industry has managed to hold onto the idea that porn is victimless entertainment that involves only an individual and the consenting adults who participate. The law has yet to catch up with reality sufficient reason for technology. In a global where anyone can produce and upload porn videos or images, the internet is becoming filled to the brim with hardcore pornography and disturbing content that no one should be exposed to, let alone our children!

A report from the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, N.J.,entitled, “The Social Costs of Pornography” points to new social science and brain research, and finds evidence that pornography causes multifaceted harms and warns that we will pay the price because of this.

Porn is teaching negative behaviors and attitudes towards sexuality. Even though for adults this is often a big problem, for children which are seeing it, it is just a disaster that may impact their capability to have any sort of healthy sexual relationship if they grow up.

There is no level of education or warning that can prevent children from viewing pornography on the Internet today. The average child will dsicover porn by age eleven online. Children are curious, children share links by email, by chat, on smart phones… Really the only solution today is to use a porn filter on each computer that your child has access to. In the home, friends, grandparents, school, the library, make sure a porn filter is installed using the pc. Demand it. It will not go away if you ignore it.
